One Eternal Flame

The antidote to fear, is there one? I would say Yes!! Gods word is the antidote to fear. The word of God gives us courage to overcome fear. He promises to make us over comers through Him so that we can see His victory for us. Fear is one of those emotions that can keep you from seeing all that God has set up for you in this life. It makes sense why God felt inclined to say over and over in His word fear not or do not be afraid. Fear when allowed can grip you and can have a way of crippling you from any forward movement, fear can keep you feeling stagnant and without purpose which leads to discouragement. Don’t go down the rabbit hole of fear it’s one of those emotions that is meant for your destruction from the adversary. Walk in courage for God promises to walk with us and never leave us. Pray today: Father instill me with Your courage to know that I can overcome fear today because of who You are in me. If I get afraid remind me that You have already walked ahead of me to keep me saf

How many of us know the power that dwells within each of us? We are all purposed for a call, a task to complete. Many of us will defer that task or calling because we choose easier roads that “feel” more natural to us. We believe lies that tell us you can’t do this or that. These lies can cause distractions to enter in as a result of us searching for what God has for us, but instead finding what we want and mistakenly believing it’s what God wanted for us. Guess what.... God is still with you. He is still pursuing you, you will find Him when you release all that takes your eyes off Him! Release your footsteps into His hands, realize the power of God that is waiting to be unleashed through you for His glory. Journeys that lead you to your purpose are usually never easy, always winding, sometimes scary or leaving us feeling alone but ALWAYS rewarding. Some of us will be laying the ground work for other warriors of God to complete. Some of us are seed planters, some of us water the seeds

How many of us know that God promises to fight for us? He promises to overcome our enemies, He promises to make us victors through the fire, He promises to save us from those that pursue us with evil intent, He promises to protect us under His mighty wing. And what do we need to do?? We only need to be still! Being still requires a mind that is set on Jesus. A mind that knows that no worry in me will change where you are leading me. Worry takes our eyes off the Savior and puts them on us. Faith requires us to be silent in voicing worry or speaking against ourselves. If you have to speak during times of trouble let it be a praise to the Lord for all He is fulfilling through you. So next time you get a flat tire praise Him because you don’t know what might have been ahead that He is saving you from. Next time our plans don’t work out praise Him for a chance that  He will bring about His plan which will be infinitely better than ours. No nothing can change the promise that God will fight

So many of us walk through life not knowing if we are making the “right” decisions. When we are seeking the Lord in all our steps the Lord gives us this promise in Psalms 37:23-24. He promises that if we are walking with Him and seeking His ways He delights in us. He also says that though we fall we WILL NOT be cast out from Him because the Lord is holding us in His mighty hand. So pray about your steps then move. God is taking care of the rest. He can’t hold you up if you’re paralyzed in fear afraid to walk! Walk your path with confidence in this psalm knowing He will always catch us when we fall!! 

Anger is the key to strife. Being angry or vexed in life really doesn’t steal any ones joy more than your own. When you struggle in the bondage of anger, initially you spew out all kinds of garbage from your mouth usually onto another person. You feel justified thinking I gave them the dose of truth they needed to hear. WRONG!!! What you did was play into the hands of the adversary and allowed him to use you as a tool. You would be better to do as this bible verse says put your hand over your mouth and pray for the Lord to reveal the source of your anger, sometimes when we look deep into our own hearts the Lord will reveal where this anger is rooted in. Satan will use any weakness or flaw within us to destroy not only others but ourselves keeping us in bondage to sin. Strengthen your soul, your mind daily with the word of God. Dress yourself with the armor or God lest you get stung by a fiery dart! 

Have you ever sat down for dinner to be overwhelmed by the smell of an amazing steak? What about the smell of a fresh brewed cup of coffee? What about the smell of your newborn baby? Different smells trigger different things to different people. But to our Lord and Savior we are an aroma to Him that when we are among our friends and unsaved ones and we are talking to others about The Word of God, it pleases Our Lord and Savior so much that he says we smell like Christ to Him. I am thrilled about the concept that God wants to diffuse through us the knowledge of His word. In order for us to diffuse the word of God we must know the word of God, so dig deep today. Start with a book of the Bible and read verse by verse with understanding this inspired book of the knowledge of God. Take one or two verses and meditate over them seek God through them. God says test me in my words and see if they are true! Be an aroma today that allows God to lift you out of any position that wants to drown yo

How do we know the voice of God? In so many of my days gone by I never understood what it meant to “hear” the voice of God. I continually felt lost thinking to myself why can’t I hear His voice speak to me. It wasn’t until recently that I began to realize that His voice can be heard by reading His word. So many answers lay in wait in the Gospel of truth. It will direct us in ALL our ways. We will begin to absolutely hear the voice of God more with our Spirit ears inside of us when we start meditating on who He is and what He wants to speak into our lives each day. Set aside the time to renew you mind every day in His word and you will hear His voice, He will Know you and you will follow Him! Father show us this morning what You have for us in this day. Teach us that Your word is how we navigate in a world that needs to hear more from You through us! Amen

Jesus could not be conflicted in who He was. He was never wishy washy. His promises were never yes one minute and no the next. If He spoke it in His word it is truth! We never have to worry that Gods love will change toward us because He demonstrated His love with the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus.
